I remember we burned his redshirt in maybe the 3rd game of the season after Mike White failed to perform... Don't remember how much he played that year but remember not being impressed, but understanding his potential. McClain has more polish already.

 

EDIT: Looking back, I think White was re-named starter after Flowers didn't produce after a few games.

Flowers first game was against nc state where we were blown out 49-17. He finished 1/4 for 7 yards and a couple of ints
