But somehow we made undefeated #15 BYU, victors over three Power 5 teams (including ranked Utah and ASU) look beatable.  Hmm..

CCS was able to beat them in the year he got fired…

I will agree that I am cautiously hopeful with the end of that game

Exactly. Cautiously optimistic. Potential is a great word, but it can’t be run forever. However in this case we are trending in the right direction while moving toward the easier part of our schedule. If things align in our favorite we should be able to rip off a nice string of wins. It’s going to take some work, but I think the team and coaches are hungry and want to get it right.

I think the two most important things a head FBS coach can do in order to create a winning culture are to improve recruiting and to hire the right coordinators. I do not think CJS has done particularly well on either of those fronts

I think that would be an assessment better made 3-4 years down the road. Making it just 13 games into a head coach's tenure, especially under circumstances that you refuse to take into consideration, is kind of ridiculous ...

I think the absurd that anyone thinks you have to wait 7 years to judge anything or that CJS is absolved of failure because he had to deal with the same issues facing everyone else in the world. How long does a US President get to execute their vision?

Love your meandering arguments... a little.

Yes CCS beat a never ranked BYU team that finished 7-6.  I guess we'll see how this one finishes out.

Again, who is promoting that or is this another strawman?  A complete exaggeration?

You're sewed in my friend, the rest of us are free.

I just think at some point it has to be okay to have expectations of winning against somebody. I know you think my day one is a bit premature but I think the three years some have suggested is equally unreasonable.
