Seems like the original timetable is out the window. USF original said they wanted this done by the start of classes (which I think I had guessed as my best bet to when we'd have someone), however, once they named the interim president, that was shot. It won't even be until Aug. 31 that the State Board of Governors will vote to officially confirm her. With her in place by formal vote and it not just falling to Wilcox as the provost, this could easily take the rest of 2021 and just get someone in place for the new year.

always thought Brooks was a standup guy but you have me a little concerned now. Are these big decisions coming up things that'll be big in the news cycle and we'll know when they happen, or behind the scenes stuff that could screw us down the line?

DB is a good guy, he's just being taken advantage of in some respects. This decision coming up likely won't tilt a scale one way or another publicly. But could make a difference internally and financially with Athletics. I just want the best for Athletics so we'll see.

Actually talk to alumni, students, faculty, people in the community before coming up with a vision and a plan is a good remark. 

I trust this committee will find someone who makes athletics a priority. But hearing that there is a bit of a toxic environment in administration is concerning and needs to be addressed.
