I used to get a kick out of Taggart doing things like having the offense throw a deep ball to the end zone with a 16 point lead on the last play of the 4th qtr vs. ECU. He did something similar vs. UCF as well. Used to totally piss off the other team.

I'm certainly glad that Willie passed through here. He brought us Mack, Adams, Q, DJ, and I believe McCants as well (or was that Holtz?), among others, and eventually delivered the best offense we've had. The one glaring mistake he made, IMO anyway, was sticking an inexperienced Raymond Woodie in at DC in 2016. That might have been the difference in us winning or not winning the conference that year.

Either way he had success because of GOOD QB PLAY. So back to my question - what coach wins w/o a successful QB? If getting a high performing QB is luck, then every winning coach gets lucky 🤷🏾‍♂️

Noah Brindise.  Look him up.

Like Spurrier got lucky having QB after QB after QB and walk on QB and every bloody other QB he ever had be successful?

Seriously, your argument gets worse every time you post.

Getting lunch with Chris Cosh.

Skip Holtz might still be coaching this team if not for the worst hire in USF history.  Seriously, what made Holtz think Chris Cosh was worth so much?  I can still remember Holtz criticizing his DC in every post-game interview, openly begging him not to run a prevent defense the entire game.  Bizarre times.

If holtz had a problem with cash calling prevent defenses late in games he should have fired him during the season and had another coach interim the rest of the way

No, he proved it wasn't luck.  CWT has not proven he cannot repeat the process.

Is this really so difficult for you to understand?  🤨

Nice article on Fortin from the Oracle ....

That is correct.  It was sure painful watching the bend, but still break defense.

As in life, sometimes conversations evolve or go to different places.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
