Jeff Scott's Interview after Second Scrimmage

• Had their 2nd scrimmage today. Next saturday will be their last scrimmage then its on to game prep for NC State
• xavier weaver has been out of pretty much all of fall camp with an illness, will be able to start practicing this week
• demarcus Gregory has been great in camp so far
• should be a lot easier for the QB this year, before there was just 1-2 receivers they could rely on and the defense can take that away. now there are more so it'll be easier to spread the ball around
• punt returners he mentioned Miller, Weaver, and Horn
• kick returners he mentioned Felix, Battie
• Said safeties are most improved position group. Also noted that they play with 3 safeties

Mentioned that just by looking at the dline and oline position groups you can tell there's big improvement over last year.

Also said at each position guys are working their way into the 2 deep chart. Compared to last year where guys we're getting some playing time just because they were the last man standing

Mitch Brinkman said development has been incredible. Last season fall camp was half as long as this year, and it was mainly spent learning the offense as they didn't have a spring to work on that.

This year they we're able to learn the offense in the spring and so this fall they've been able to work a lot more on technique/fundamentals instead of just learning plays

No, but not because the shirt is lame, the saying is lame “it’s a new day”.  Isn’t it always a new day like every day.

I agree but I am always a glass 1/2 full guy in preseason, once they kick it off we will have an idea what we have if anything.
