Memphis is not the worst team we have faced. We had the talent to compete with Memphis today, coaching held us back and that has been the story all season. pascobull Posted November 7, 2020 Group: Member Topic Count: 5 Content Count: 848 Reputation: 226 Days Won: 1 Joined: 08/03/2011 Share Posted November 7, 2020 We play in the AAC, no excuse to be 17 point dog every week. That's a reflection of the coaching this year. Our coaches have not prepared players to the same level as all the other AAC teams...Don't need elite talent to beat Temple and ECU. Being in the AAC will always mean we need coaches that can do more with less. We might get a Marlon Mack or D Johnson level player once in a while but can't just recruit our way out of losing unless 8-5 is the goal every year. I actually have no problem with today’s results despite the last minutes, which were atrocious. What I take issue with is people claiming that we do not have the talent to compete with anyone at the FBS level and today’s results prove that could not be any further from the truth, this staff has regressed these players and that is entirely on them. Maybe watch the game next time and give an educated take versus giving an ignorant observation on something you know absolutely **** about. Name a single tangible thing that CJS has done better than a single coach we have had. You are what your results say that you are and currently CJS is the absolute worst not only in our short history but is in the running for college football history. There is not a single thing that can be pointed to that CJS has not made worse than the incredibly low bar that CCS has set, seriously not one. When you are completely devoid of talent and had to rely on Juco and Fcs kids to fill gaps, you will definitely lose more than you win. When the school itself values academics before any sport, you will lose more than you win. When your fan base is small and your alumni could give a **** about your program you will lose more than you win. Our team is undersized, underfunded, and has no culture or traditions other than “remember that time we were number 2”. Look at Tulane, UCF, UConn, ECU. All those teams had really **** seasons at one point. Someone has to win and someone has to lose, it’s our turn to be losers. We just need to find a way to win.
