You do realize this year is basically one big cluster**** where we'll be "lucky" if we play 8 games. With a new coach, 2 new systems, the players need every rep they can get to get ready for next year  ........ throw in trying to figure out who the hell on the current roster may be able somewhat effectively play qb in 2021.

Yeah I admit 2020 is a world of its own and all rules are out the window.  I admit that.  And i respect other opinions other than my own.  I dont have any answers.

I still stand by my opinion that only winning teams deserve the reward of a Bowl game.  Despite all that has happened we should keep some sense of normalcy imo.  But hey if we get a bid I suppose that will benefit us in the long run.

Ok so no reward or consequence for winning and losing.  As long as it benefits USF.  Is that what we have become...UGH!

Yes, if we don’t look out for ourself no one else will.

With all of the FCS conferences now coming back, USF won't make a bowl game unless the earn it. The AAC has 7 bowl bids for 11 teams this year, so USF will need to finish in the top 7 or hope for a bowl invite from a conference who cannot fill their allotment - and with NCAA allowing sub-.500 teams to go to bowl games, every conference will be able to fill their bowl slots.

Completely agree. My original comment was tongue in cheek. However, if there are travel restrictions or some schools can’t afford (or don’t want to go), then it is conceivable that a lower team could get the invite.

That's true. I have a hard time seeing a 3-6 USF team (and that's the optimist in me) going anywhere but back to Zoom classes.

You are probably correct on that

And technically a National Championship too.

Not really technically, though ..... That "national championship} is just as bogus as the P6 moniker is.

Well, the NCAA recognizes it and I am sure if we were in the same situation we wouldn't think it was bogus. It would be stamped on all the material and media that USF is currently flooding the bay area with.

Nope

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
