Why don't you start a separate thread on this.  Oh wait, you did.  But still you feel the need to post the same thing here.

😂😂😂😂

The first thing Jeff Scott needs is a university that supports the program. Until that, we can forget about any turnaround.

Well they did buy out CCS and hire a splash hire.

That they did. I really do like the CJS hire.

I remember at the time we thought we couldn't afford to fire CCS.  So I think they did what they had to do at least.  It's going to take a could years for the new coach to circle the wagons.  He has a great attitude and I think it will spread.  That being said, we can't throw, run, rush, cover, or kick at the moment.

Yeah, I understand the logic in not firing Strong after the 2018 season - Trip has been pretty loud on that front. All we can hope for at this point is that (queue the standard new coach rhetoric we have been accustomed to the last 10 years) CJS can recruit well, get his guys into his system and that he can coach them up to compete against what is a pretty formidable schedule the next 5 years.

At least when he recruits he can tell them "There's a really great chance you start as a freshman."

You got that one. Bad calls vs No calls. Seems holding, hanging on or taking a player to the ground( saw one that was a pure body slam w/ jersey hold) didnt get a flag. Not once but multiple times. Wouldn't have changed the score(??) or... I know it's ND so there needs to be some form of Divine Intervention but...

Talking about officiating in that game is kind of embarrassing.
ND had 4 starters on defense not dress. They another leave after the first because of injury. They had two more in the two deep not dress. They had true freshmen starting the game and 3rd stringers playing in the 1st Q on defense. At one point they had 6 true freshmen and three RsFreshmen on the field at the same time on Defense.
ND players not dressed:

Starting Safety Hamilton

Starting CB Bracy

Starting LB Simon

Starting DE Oghoufo

Last week Starting LB Liafau

Part time starter DT Ademilola

Then other Starting CB McCleod hurt

On offense:

Starting WR Austin

Starting WR Skoronik

Starting PR/WR Keyes

Backup RB Smith

Backup QB Clark

ND played mostly 2nd and 3rd string on Defense and at WR.

The game was embarrassing as was the officiating but not near to the same level.    I would normally tell you to **** off but this is a thread about being positive so why don’t you please go troll ND’s next victim and leave us the **** alone, you have outlived your usefulness on this board.

No not embarrassed re: the missed calls. Yep, we got our azz wiped by their 3rd string poss even the ball boy and water girls suited up??  I think I saw one guy in a wheel chair make a tackle. Nice research very detailed. Nope...that was a good old fashioned shed whoopin. The players should have been embarrassed along with the coaches. I had minimal expectations for a win against ND. Not the steam rolling we took but...it's a work in progress. Just think what Michelangelo said when he was enlisted to paint the Sistine Chapel?? Holy **** you want me to paint all that with a brush!!!! USF Football is the ceiling and CJS is the artist..I hope he creates a masterpiece

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
