So if all of the P5 conferences cancel the season and the AAC, Sunbelt and CUSA dont cancel...does that mean we have a chance to win a national title? 🤔

It would mean we would have a minuscule chance however c. would  have a good chance  and I am not willing to take that chance, 😂we will get them next year.

The lawyer knew that other lawyers were going to scare leaders into canceling football.  I am stunned.

Per the rules of the board and friendly reminders from the moderators I am not allowed to respond to this, I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring you.

I think your post is probably fine, it’s when it devolves into more of a news broadcast discussion as apposed to an ESPN discussion that it appears to cross the line. It’s a tough balancing act for everyone because there is obviously spillover but it can’t become the entire discussion which is what happens if we start going back and forth.

imagine your university having an unpaid college athlete with some underlying, undiagnosed heart valve condition that's amplified by a covid complication and he succumbs.

do you want to be on that board, sorting through the litany of pr mudslinging and litigation to follow?

plus the vitriol you can expect today's student body to dish out?

hard pass. if you're schools the unfortunate 'chosen one', it could literally ruin your program, or certainly tarnish it for foreseeable future.

their longterm risk tolerance as a conference was weighed against shorterm revenue loss and the decision was made.

If they play football, they get tested weekly and if positive it gets addressed immediately. If we cancel the season, they go back to their hometowns and do NOT get tested weekly so if they catch it they may not have gotten it treated right away and could pass it on to family. They are safer playing football.  Unless you have symptoms or want to lie about having symptoms, it's not easy getting tested...at least in Georgia.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
