What are your thoughts?

I think we wait until we have an OCS to display the retired numbers at.

Never have been a fan of retiring numbers. Sometimes it gets ridiculous (see Boston Celtics). Instead do the ring of honor thingy or hang a banner of the player. The number belongs to the team (players come and go) not the player.

Celtics lost me when they retired KG's number. 6 years is all that it takes?

I agree what a joke. It looks like it is more of an attempt for team PR.

Are we retiring numbers based on what they did while at USF or are we retiring them for what they did after USF?

Nope. He played two seasons (1998-99) with them and they retired his number. They retired his number the beginning of the following season (2000).

Wow any semblance of respect I had for the Rays just hit the crapper...

No way on JPP. he played 1 year here. Marlon Mack is a solid maybe in my book. I would honestly say Andre Hall was a better USF Bull than Mack but it is close.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
