i thought he should have pooch punted it the times he went for a 50+ yard field goal.  pin them deep in their own end zone instead of on the 32.

Alvarado was a punter who had to do the FG attempts.  thinking of him kicking gives me nightmares-  Auburn and the misses.  He did make the last one though

I feel bad for the kid... I really would have loved to see him making that kick after not having his confidence kicked, shot, and ripped out by a coach bent on him making 50+ yarders... I suspect that if he wasn't so frazzled already, he may have made that last one... of course, we'll never know.

Wouldn’t have been called upon to attempt 4 FGs if coach didn’t have the confidence he could make them.

I have no problem with the 43 yard attempt.  It is the 50 and 53 yarder that I had problems with. Anyone in section 124 could hear me say,

"Why are we attempting a 50 yarder? He's never made one over 35." Apparently before USF he made a 38 yarder once. You have to build up the distance. Going from 38 to 50 is just asking to much. 

By the time the 33 yarder came around his confidence was shot on kicks he has never made in a live event.
