He just hired the wrong OC. Hiring Bell going into year 3 turned out to be a bad decision, being that it was going to take 2 or maybe even 3 more years to get everything in place to make that offense fully functional here. The offense has been bad enough at times to bring the morale of the entire team down.

You don't see it much on the defense, hence that unit has played better.  I think the 3 big transfers on that side, Macon, Sails and Studstill not only increased the talent level but they brought a level of work effort and leadership to that side of the ball and one of the coaches even eluded to that during fall camp. 

Until Chuckles is gone, nothing will change.  Assistants can come and go and systems can change but with Chuckles still in charge what you see is what you get.

This is just sad. I wrote a few times about seeing players quit. I didn't think it was that bad but, I both saw and felt it.

The problems are deeper than the OC.  He changed OCs at Texas and now he’s done it here and nothing changes.  Maybe we start to realize that the problem begins and ends with Chuckles.  This team is undisciplined unmotivated and plays with little fire or emotion.  That lies with the head coach who sets the tone and  culture and not the OC.

If that’s the case, I’m sitting out the 2020 season.  I’ll still renew my tickets because I want to support my alma mater and lord knows they need the money but I’ll give my tickets away to charity and catch the games from home.

How about you all just take the rest of the season off. All this whining and crying...geez...i get it we are not good now. Do we need a 1000 whining post/threads? What's sad is that some of you post more when times are rough than when we are winning. I ride with this team win or lose. If we make a bowl game cool, if not there will be next year. We have 2 program changing QBs committing to USF and a class that may not be #1 in the AAC but is still awesome.

It's just the nature of the message board beast. Whiners and criers, which doesn't fit all the disgruntled, do need somewhere to vent their frustrations but I do agree that some completely abuse that privilege here ..... Have to just basically learn to ignore .... to some degree.

If we lose the last 3 games - very likely.  This just cant happen or you lose the remaining fanbase you have.

Kelly knows this.  You have to get creative financially somehow.

However. There is an off season and people’s memories are short. People say right now they won’t be there but most will be. Beaten wife syndrome.
