Then that was the fault of Harlan. He knew the style of offense that CCS ran. Hell, Charlie even said it in the first press conference.

I think Charlie Strong’s words were something along the lines of “we have to slow down this offense to give defense a chance” which was the most terrifying thing I had heard at the time.

Our “up tempo” offense now is as sloppy as it gets. Any time we try to speed it up we run it for a loss or we can’t get set.

Yeah, don’t think the problem is the tempo as much as the play calling. CCS has NEVER ran a wide open offense. Harlan knew this...we all knew this.

Willie has alot of talent at FSU. How's the GCO working?

I agree we need something but GCO isnt the end all be all.

I'm not sure it's the offense we are running as it is the plays that are being called. we are so vanilla. run between the tackles, throw go routes down the sidelines.

We run like 5 plays. And when there is a unique play that works we don’t run it again for 6 weeks

GCO doesn’t fit their talent.  He’s doing the same thing at FSU he did here just the opposite.

When he took the job, We should have known all we need to know about Gilbert when he said he hardly watched any film of our offense from the year before knowing he had Quinton Flowers coming back.  Contrast that to Heupel and he said he sat down with Milton and asked what plays he likes best and taylored the offense around him.
