I for one thought it was awesome, but nobody else seemed to notice. This has been one of the most controversial but best band songs over the last few seasons, so I was surprised they played it. Pleasantly surprised. The full song is "Talkin' Out the Side of Your Neck" by Cameo. The controversy comes into play because LSU told their band to stop playing the song back in 2013, but O'dell Beckham attended a game and convinced them to play the song after he agreed to pay the fine. Video of the LSU band playing the song is here: for some reason I don't think most USF fans are familiar with Cameo... maybe "Word Up" or "Candy"... students are too young, older alums probably prefer The Eagles. If my memory serves me right, I believe that people were upset when college bands began playing the song because as @TRUTH D. Antagonist mentioned, it is a staple of a lot of HBCU's. Additionally, it used to be quite popular at LSU games and the students there came up with their own inappropriate lyrics, which caused the President of the university at the time to tell the band they couldn't play it anymore. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
