Man you guys are selling GT too low. I think they can do some damage. They will beat Pitt, BG, NC and UVA. We still don’t know how good UL will be yet. They haven’t looked great so far. Duke looks good but we’ll see. Duke is still just Duke. Miami, VT, Clemson and Georgia are likely losses but GT has a habit of upsetting a top 25 every year and came close to doing so last year. 8 or 9 wins isn’t out of the question.

I don't think it's a stretch at all.   As fun as winning bowl games and closing your year out with a win is those wins don't really have the same shine as regular season wins.   We know we took GaTechs best punch right on the chin and still ended up winning, the same can't be said for our wins against say Texas Tech or USCe.   You just don't know how focused teams are going to be for a mid level bowl game but a game this early in the season where everyone is still hopeful you're gunna get opponent's best effort.

The year we beat ND, didn’t they finish 6-6 or something?

They have a stacked conference, and having us and Georgia in their out of conference only makes it harder.  This was a huge win for us in the start of the season with so many unknowns (specifically QB), but we need them to get a couple more unexpected wins to help it look even better, which I fully think they're capable of doing.  Their offense seemed better than Navy's but their defense is what may hold them back.

Counting the bowl game, ND went 8-5

Losing to Michigan, USC, Stanford, FSU (bowl game), and USF

pretty decent company

I think of the 4 listed that might be losses, the Miami game might be their best shot at upset, and possible VaTech.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
