Stats aren't as good as Shane for a #1, but Wichita wasn't worried about gassing him out a week before the tourney. 32 minutes ago, BrassBulls12 said: That's a good point. I haven't followed WSU close enough to know what kind of pitcher Heuer is but they certainly didn't mind sending him out there. I wonder if it's not him being gassed as much as stressing that repaired elbow. There were some whispers last year about limits on his usage. It's would also suggest that hasn't built the type of stamina to do that either. Has he ever thrown this many innings before? Update: Answer, yes last season he threw ten more innings than he has to this point, I think CBM just considered everything and decided SM would best if he rested. He should have just signed a pro contract outta HS.

It should motivate him. His numbers were as good or better than 3 of the 4 2nd team pitchers except for the W/L Hell, we only have 1 guy on the 1st team Edited May 22, 2018 by chapelbull

If we're going to make a run, you assume everyone is throwing their #1 out of the gates, and I'll take Pete against anyone's #2 the next round. We have the worst pitching staff in the conference in AAC games. Tough to make all conference that way.
