Quarterback Quinton Flowers (Miami), defensive tackle Deadrin Senat (Immokalee) and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (St. Petersburg) all received invitations to the week-long showcase that puts more than 300 top prospects through physical and mental tests. Top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams will be on hand to evaluate the nation's top college football players eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft, which runs April 26-28. Flowers, who set 42 program records as a three-year starter at USF, and Valdez-Scantling, who set the program's season receiving yards record in 2017, will both take part in on-field workouts on Saturday. Senat, who finished second on the team with 66 tackles in an outstanding senior campaign, will go through on-field workouts on Sunday. USF was among three American Athletic Conference schools with three or more players invited to the Combine. The NFL Network will televise exclusive, live coverage of the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine starting on Friday. Coverage can also be streamed on the NFL Mobile app and at NFL.com. News, results and highlights will also be posted on NFL.com. A two-time all-conference selection and 2016 American Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Flowers is USF's and The American's career record-holder in total offense (11,802 yards) and total touchdowns responsible for (112) and tied the USF record for wins by a starting quarterback with 30. He is just the fourth player in NCAA history to pass for more than 8,000 yards and run for more than 3,500 yards on their career. Valdes-Scantling led USF with 53 receptions for 879 yards and had six touchdowns in 2017 while averaging 16.6 yards per catch. A transfer to USF after playing two seasons at N.C. State, Valdes-Scantling finished his collegiate career with 119 receptions for 1,832 yards and 12 touchdowns. A two-time all-conference selection, Senat earned first team honors in 2017 after a career-best year in which he posted 10.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks to go with his 66 tackles. The powerful defensive lineman averaged 7.4 tackles per game over his final eight games and capped his career with three sacks vs. Texas Tech in the Bulls' Birmingham Bowl victory. Is that time good enough for teams to want to take a look at him at RB or slot receiver? That time doesn't show his elusiveness. If he’s drafted it will be late but a team will give him a look as a UDFA for sure and honestly going in as a UDFA and picking his situation may be better.
