Opening night for BaseBulls

We'll be there tonight.  Ran into a guy in a bar that is a big UNC fan and he's planning on going to all 3 games this weekend. He raved about their starting pitching. I told him our Friday night starter might not be too bad himself.  As an old timer there is something about the beginning of baseball season that just brings hope. Probably stems from living up north and you knew spring was approaching.  d

We are going up to Gainesville for M Golf so won't make the other games. Depending on how the golf team fares tomorrow we may or may not go over to Mousetown for WBB on Sunday. If golf is in it we'll hang around. If they shoot themselves out of it after 2 rounds tomorrow we'll drive down to see the women.

Season Prediction

The bullpen isn’t deep enough to sustain through 52 games and is the Achilles’ Heel of the team. Montes isn’t the answer at SS and Dietrich doesn’t improve enough as a catcher. McClanahan can’t live up to the hype and struggles as the ace. Chatfield regresses and never develops into what he can become—a 12-15 home run threat—with a decent average. The Bulls finish fifth in the conference and go 1-2 in the the House of Horrors that is Spectrum Field in a nightmarish first season for Mohl.

Replacing Merrill is no easy task. The kid that played some SS (Cerelli) as a Fr last year left the team.  He was supposed to be a good glove guy.

Just got to the stadium - nice crowd, almost all seats in the grandstand are full

Shane walked the first two, then USF gets three straight to close the top of the third

I think not having Joe C to take care of the 7th and 8th this year is really going to be the biggest loss
