Why would he?  He got a huge raise for this season, and another huge raise going forward.

I honestly thought he was going to stay to go for that undefeated season and see Flowers out to his senior season and such.  Then get hired at UF figured Elwain was gone, and due to the rumblings of Fisher be courted every year and some of the other things at FSU it was a huge jump in my opinion that that job would open too.

Instead of moving family out west just a year stayed in Florida and win conferece then get his a huge pay increase.  I dont blame him though gotta strike while iron hot.

Hindsight is 20/20...after last season who would have thought FSU & Jimbo would get a divorce? He might have stayed for the family wildcard, but would he have been given as big a raise? who knows...

But yeah, I sure wish he could've stayed the year here.

Yup.  Frost got $5m a year from Nebraska.  That set the market for top end AAC coaches.....You can bet Sexton wouldn't have let Taggart get less than that.
