Gilbert definitely dials it up when we are tied or losing. Then we go back to this playbook.

Lots of people on here mad at me because I have had these doubts for four years. No doubt that QF has explosive ability to run the ball. So the issue can be minimized by carefully controlling the types of passes he throws and tailoring the offense to maximize the things he does well. I actually think they have done that this year by having him throw downfield more often. But somehow you need to get the short and intermediate stuff worked in. CWT solved that by a heavy use of WR screens. But the issue won't ever go away. Obviously everyone has a weakness. Some QBs can throw darts but can't move around to save their life. So ultimately it is pick your poison. But will we have this problem again? Probably. Will it cost us games? Who knows. I would put some of this on our wr and te play as well

The reality is that we aren't blocking very well on the outside like we did last year.

So do we open it up early and throw the ball or take what the defense gives and pound it up the middle?

Weird, it was really good last year and the players are nearly the same.

The difference to me comes down to 2 things: 1. Aggression and attitude 2. The TE being in the backfield rather than split wide and cracking
