This says the same about the college level: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/00343400903241519. Even used FSU and UF for the study. I like RJS because it's a shorter drive for me and has nice amenities but an OCS would be cool if it was done right and not on the cheap. The dirty little secret about athletics right there. It's nice to have but it isn't the economic engine those wanting facilities tout.

I didn't think that was still there. They always were stingy with their napkins. I haven't seen much talk about this at all on TBP. Worst thing is on campus Subways don't accept Subway gift cards! Inconceivable!

The economic impact is a pipe dream having watched UCF's facilities and Downtown Orlando's similar renaissance. USF is already an activity center. It's not like you don't have restaurants or gas stations now. 6-7 more days of activity per year isn't going to create anything new. Restaurants and bars will cater their specials around gameday and you might get a 2nd bookstore to sell merch if they don't just put out a mobile store. If a P5 conference said to USF average 45K in actual attendance in your home stadium for the next three years, and we'll reevaluate expansion, do you think we could do it? Folks still seem fixated on the old Big East home slate. I want an OCS badly; I just don't think our fan base seems like it has earned the OCS just yet. I hope the #BullStrong era proves me wrong, in terms of home attendance. I really do.

Well, we could, but it would take winning and better OOC opponents. Unfortunately, a lot of, "fans" are more fixated on the opponent than the fact that it's USF playing. That being said, we should buy one. It really just depends on the time line. If we stay there for 50 years, I have to imagine it will at least break even when you factor in we get parking and ticket sales minus rent. who stays in a stadium 50 years withotu upgrading substantially you are right about the lack of economic impact
