I don't see this decision as a big deal. Are you sure about this? Do a quick google search on all the NCAA players with gun issues just over the last 5 years. Go deeper and look at the NFL and behaviors outside of guns (domestic violence, theft, battery, etc.) Many coaches come out and try to distance themselves and their universities from the issue and/or downplay the story, but little or nothing in the way of punishment occurs. Strong can never be accused on not taking these issues head on. He's been very consistent at each of this stops. Even more impressive, he addressed it with the entire team. My grandmother had a saying, "such and such (insert name) beats her kids with a Kleenex". College football has become beating kids with a Kleenex. Go Bulls!

Did not see "any" program where guns while driving and weed were supported by a university. NFL? That's apples and oranges my friend.

Yep. The zero-tolerance list is essentially: shooting at occupied dorms on campus waving a gun at a family while also possessing drugs Things being considered for future punishment: locking your girlfriend in a closet and beating her with an extension cord operating a motor vehicle without a license (only for eight-time offenders and up) Edited March 29, 2017 by JTrue

Everyone deserves a ninth chance IMO. Ninth time offenders are the devil.

Coach's quote, along with his decisive actions, allows our "uptick" in National Media coverage to continue to be positive. Had he not done so, we may have had a lot of folks taking jabs. Suspended for the weed. Left USF on his own during the suspension.
