Often the head coach knows it is coming. Coach Bell leaving and Coach Adams coming might have been decided a couple weeks ago, but no one moves until after signing day. I agree with you as a coach, but Bell is an ace recruiter in south Florida. It's possible his immediate work at USF as recruiting coordinator helped get him the gig.
