Not good form by McMurray. Curious if anyone will be able to get a comment from Harlan. Wonder if USF was afraid of being viewed as retaliatory.. Someone Tweeted that he's eligible at SMU in December, so I'm guessing him going to JUCO, then transferring to D-1 means 1) he sits out the 12 month period 2) the AAC rule no longer applies (i.e. no direct transfer). But it still sucks when your best scorer bolts, but this kid appeared ready to bolt anyway, and was getting in trouble with the coaches early on (suspended first several games). Sometimes things just don't work out...we'll play on. Baxter leaving hurts the most...that dude seemed like an NBA potential dude.

Baxter and Feliz not making it here was the coffin lid slamming shut .... JMM was the nails.

Not sure USF has a say-so after that? I know in baseball, they used to have something called the "4-2-4" rule. It was specifically designed to stop transfers. Four year guys were thinking, if I have to sit out a year in a transfer, might as well play for a JuCo instead, then move on. They made you sit at your new 4 year school. Not sure if that still even exists and whether it applied to basketball.

You apparently don't follow USF basketball if you think a player like this leaving is just a fart in the wind ... What I mean is in a few years it won't matter to USF, it just be the past, but the network and relationships and knowledge gained by this student will impact the rest of his life.

Mack left to go pro and get paid, Mcmurray left to join a team we play twice a year. 1
