This kid was committed to us like 3 separate times.  Was always looking for a better option (school).  My guess is he's butthurt he didn't play and is jumping ship.

According to Newberg, Strong isn't meeting with the team until 8:30 AM Thursday. Seems like a long time for a coach to go without talking to his new team. I have to assume he's trying not to interfere

Did Mathews ever play?  I don't recall him ever playing, maybe some kick coverage.  Good luck to him, but it looks like this isn't about the coach at all, more about him seeing the talent in front of

I think it is to be expected that  there would be some initial trepidation on the part of the players. But I think things will be fine once they meet him and get used to him.

According to Newberg, Strong isn't meeting with the team until 8:30 AM Thursday. Seems like a long time for a coach to go without talking to his new team. I have to assume he's trying not to interfere with Bowl prep.

How do you get butthurt from not playing during a redshirt year?

Jimmy Bayes just tweeted at Mathews telling him to "come back we got Strong" I wonder how long he has been away from the team. Definitely made this decision before Strong was hired.

Kid thinks he's all world. Staff says if you're beating out the guys we have on the 2 deep you'll get play as a freshman. Kid shows up and is running behind everyone at his position and realizes that instead of all world he's barely above the scout team, or maybe on the scout team, so he has to redshirt. That's a common enough story.
