Sell out to win AAC CG next year and get butts in seats. Kiffin would be your best option for both of those in the short term. Make no mistake he would definitely be a 1-2 year rental, but I would take it for our first ever championship. We will not get anyone better who would make us more likely to win in their 1st year here.

Much different hire than in previous years as this would not be a rebuilding. Whoever we hire would be expected to win immediately.

Hate the guy as an individual, but he knows offense and how to recruit, so I can put my personal feelings aside for 1 season.

One more thing:  Lane Kiffin and the name would most likely put butts in seats at RayJay, or at least would have the best chance to do so.

I disagree.

Fans not there now with a winning record and tons of scores put up won't come for just the Kiffin name.

You may be right, but that's why I also qualified my statement by saying the Kiffin name would have "the best chance" to do so.

And who is that if Willie leaves?

First, I hope Willie stays.  But if he doesn't Kiffin would put butts in the seats just with the buzz hire.  Also I like the fact he has witnessed 3 years worth of Saban's practices and could implement those here.  He would also probably bring his daddy Monte as a D-coordinator advisor.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
