I would have called a timeout to make them punt at the end of the half too. There were 6 seconds left. Force a block or possible return.  Take a chance.

They wouldn't have punted - just drop back and sail one out of bounds. I think you need at least 10+ seconds to bother with a TO. Take the momentum into the locker room.
