That's correct. I think the baseline for "power" status should be competitiveness. If there were some fair and objective way of determining that (there used to be in the BCS if memory serves), the AAC could aim for it and likely achieve it. 

We shouldn't have to have a huge TV contract to compete at the highest levels of CFB. It is more difficult to do so, but not impossible.

True, but he sounds like a little kid bugging his parents. After awhile he just gets tuned out. Not sure anyone is listening to him, or if he has an angle to leverage more money from anyone. The networks are over paying for the others conferences, and we are going to take less since they are stretched elsewhere.
