1. Best outcome: we get an invite, regardless of who joins us

2. Second best outcome: no expansion for now, will continue to explore expansion over the next few months/years

3. Third best outcome: no expansion, no further consideration

4. Fourth best outcome: expansion, but no Florida schools included

5. Worst outcome: C. Florida gets an invite, but we do not, regardlesss of who else joins them

Options 1-4 are all acceptable. Option 5 would make me weep in public like a little girl.

Not much difference between 4 or 5.  If 3 AAC schools are taken and we aren't one of them, I'm not going to find much solace in the fact that UCF is banished to the new CUSA with us for all of eternity.

I don't see Houston getting in.  It doesn't benefit the Texas schools in the slightest.  I think their "support" was a smokescreen to try to show Texas solidarity but when it doesn't happen, they can still say they tried.

If the votes become public, then I could very well be wrong, but I'm not buying the Texas schools' support of Houston in the conference.

And you can bet the non-Texas schools for sure don't want Houston.

From a recruiting perspective it would be a lot worse for UCF to get in without us. If either of us gets into the B12 without the other it will be a HUGE differentiation point between the schools.

People can take a Megabus from Houston to Austin for $4.50 so I don't think that's it.

I've seen this written a bunch of times, but I don't understand it. How does UH getting into the B12 get UT a campus in Houston?
