The "25-" in front of "reasearch" outsmarted the spell checker. I've had spell checkers change Sus scrofa  (genus and species name for feral hog) to "Sue's scrotum". These things happen.

You think the Big 12 just dismissed this? How USF pays attention to detail? How it represents the conference? You go to a job interview with a resume filled with typos, you get that job? This is just part of the overall consideration, of course. 

 

 And as for saying the two situations don't compare, you tell me the difference each year between what an AAC and Big 12 school makes as a member.

Struck through the part that was irrelevant to my initial response. They don't compare because the County's typo was in a legally binding "document" that DIRECTLY affected their revenue.

I believe they farm some of this out to aspiring students to help with.  At least that's what I have heard. 

I'm not condoning releasing any doc with errors, just trying to place the egregiousness of the error into context.
