As long as the DC isnt asking corners to give 10 yard cushions to receivers all game he should be fine.

Even with all the right cards in the deck,

I am still uncertain about USF's success this fall

You might have a point, but even last year I felt like our 2nd half performance was a little lacking even during the win streak. We did fine against ECU, but both Temple and Cincy staged mini-rallies in the 3rd quarter after getting blasted in the first half.

More than just them, we were definitely not a good 3rd Q defense. WKU won our bowl game in the 3rd Q. Good that we showed adjustments in the 4th Q, but we just can't bleed like that and expect to win.

Beyond that, yeah, option-heavy teams scare me too.

I don't think it's good to pin our hopes on the DB coach, regardless of his past experience.

This defense is Raymond Woodie's, it's definitely up to him.

Hopefully if it doesn't work out, we'll win some games like 49-42.

:GoBulls:  I'd take that all day.

I dont know that Woodie has the same chess skill that Tom Allen did but I can hoping that Jancek (ex Tennessee DC) who we brought in to be DB coach can contribute where Woodie may be lacking

My thoughts exactly
