Why is anyone upset that we didn't have to pay that much to keep our coach? Does nothing make you happy?

Happy? Other than a Pharrell song, we have no idea what that means. :angrymob:

I kind of like that they announced today.

Shows the results of the bowl has no outcome on the deal.

Adds to the statement that "Taggart is our Guy"

Our athletic department gets a good deal and saves money, "Why aren't we paying him more"? We overpay the man based on a good 3/4 of a season, "Why are we paying him so much"?

These were exactly my thoughts.

Fair for what he has done up to this point.

If he wins the conference next year and his NYD Bowl he will be gone to a P5 team who will find the buyout $$ in their sofa.

Fiscally the deal is great for USF.

I imagine and hope the deal was struck on the assumption that if next year he does great they can revisit the deal and establish better numbers, plus like some said on here. If other people come calling we will raise those figures anyway

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
