Middle Tennesee is a team you schedule for you first game, not one you hope to play in a bowl.

How many of those first game teams on a schedule are mentioned in any bowl game at the halfway point of the season?

Looking through the projections just gives a grim reminder of how bad the AAC bowls are.  Houston could go 11-1 or 10-2 losing out to Memphis in the west, and their reward is to play Western Kentucky?   Ugghhhh

Let's win at least 3 more games.  Gotta win the ones we're favored to win (like SMU).

Next step:  Beat a team with a winning record.  I think we can do it now that we are no longer one-dimensional.

If we make a bowl game, then I will be glad to complain about how crummy the AAC bowl lineup is.  For a conference that's supposed to be the best of the worst, we sure have some crappy bowls, though.

GO BULLS!

As long as we aren't playing the Browns in the toilet bowl again this year it's an upgrade.

How many of us old timers remember when Middle Tenn curbed stomped us up in Tenn? We could not stop their offense at all that day.

We were there!  They sat us in the corner of that empty stadium with the sun in our eyes and would not let anyone move.  I also remember we had some momentum until they had problems with the clock,

Are you referring to the UCF game at the end of the year becoming our "bowl game" again?

Lose this week and that projection means jack.

i would take any bowl, but St Pete would be the best option, as we would have a good turnout, and i would get to go!

A good turnout, really, we don't have a good turnout at Ray Jay!  we didn't have one when we played Memphis in the St Pete Bowl- many on here said it was beneath us!

It will be a better turnout than the Rays get (as long as NY or Boston is not in town).

Don't they put the St. Pete bowl on a weeknight just to make it worse?

It may shock you to realize that we won't be going to a BCS bowl this year.  Any bowl would be significant progress.

And I don't use "significant progress" with a CWT team lightly.

Would it be "significant" progress, or well above progress?
