USF better come prepared against SMU

If we lose, I am back on the fire Taggart bandwagon

Gotta take care of business. This is why dropping that MD is such a bummer.

This should be a win but you never know. I do believe that this team believes in itself now and that can make a big difference moving forward.

We are a run based team with a few sprinkles of passing now. I was more worried about Cuse and UConn then SMU due to their run Ds. I think this match up is much more favorable for USF and we should be able to out physical them on both sides of the line. SMU hasnt faced a nasty D like USF and they are no Memphis on O. Furthermore our D is setup to stop this kind of spread O more so than say a Navy or pro set etc.

As long as USF deals with being favored to win a game vs a FBS opponent and doesn't over look SMU, this game will favor the physical nature of USF on both O and D.

Well called us being favored, but about 2 TDs (13 pts with pts given to the home team) not sure...

They are coached by a high school legend in his first year -offensive guru. Their QB is their best player. Good arm (not so accurate on deep balls), strong and athletic, and he is very tough to bring down. Their receivers are very young. Not much of a running game, unless you factor in their QB, which is a must: he's going to run a lot.

We need to beat them with our defensive line and then we need to keep an eye on their QB when he takes off.

Our running attack should be effective against their defense. And when they stack the line, we go deep over the air on them.

I would think USF would be favored by a TD, being at home and all. But it all depends on which USF team shows up.

Two weeks of good USF football, but I know what I've seen the last three years...

Wait, what?  High school legend?  That sounds like Willie Taggart.  :roflmao:

Their offense scares me. Thankfully our offense has shown up lately. I think we will need 30+ to win this one.
