We need someone to get this program off of life support. Someone with a proven track record. If he is so successful that we can't afford to retain him, then I'd say that is was a successful hire. Do we also only want players that will stay for their entire eligibility, and not be good enough to leave early for the NFL? It's all part of the price to pay to be successful. We lost our asses on our last two gambles on up & comers. No more Woolard-esque long term handcuffing deals. 3 years with hefty performance bonuses.
