I think they go .500 and he is here next year.

Only concern is they are learning a new defense and offense so lucky we start with worst team then the best team...come out 1 and 1 around the third game it should start clicking for both sides hopefully.

I don't have any reason to believe this team can get to .500. They still don't have a quarterback and the move to a style of offense outside of his comfort zone smells of desperation. If the team was going to go over this type of makeover (two new systems and two new coordinators) they should have just blown out the coach.

And as many have pointed out no matter how good of a recruiter he is it won't matter if he can't coach them up. And let's be honest these aren't recruiting classes that are significantly ahead of the rest of the conference. To make up for his inability to develop players, CWT needs to get Top 20 recruiting classes year in and year out to win here.

Most of these Florida kids grew up in spread offense in hs. I don't think this is an act of desperation at all.

I think that if CWT had a second year starter that was mobile, we would have ran a spread from the start.

Nonetheless, all that is over and I think we see a much better offense and happier fans in the Ray J.

We are running the same offensive plays and terminology.  It will just be with more shotgun formation and a faster pace.  Read option will be the one thing we add to the playbook.

This is CWTs last season in my opinion.

He doesn't need to take us to a bowl game to secure another year at the helm of USF. All he has to do is get us close to a bowl game.

Expectations are not lofty over at One Bull Place... 6-6 or 7-5 would ink him a small extension.

I think he needs to get them to a bowl and win it. I believe that 7-6 or 8-5 gets him another year, while 6-7 likely gets him fired.

For all the speculation, I'd say a W-L number is not as important as the type of product on the field. We could go 5-7 and he'll still be around if the plan looks like it's working and our guys show some pride/motivation. If we start getting the heart back, CWT will get respect IMO.

i think he is gone unless he wins the division

getting to a bowl game is no great accomplishment

i wouldnt keep him if he goes 6-6

What if we had a great QB?

I would settle for a "good" or average QB.

-CWT said he hasn't opened up the play book yet

-Bench had a passing TD with 2 picks

-Flowers stalled out a the 3 yrd line with 1pick

-AW threw for a TD no picks looks the best

He hasn't opened up the playbook yet? Or it hasn't been written yet?

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
