  1. If pitching is any indicator, then yes! Pre-1995, it was very rare to see anybody that could hit triple digits on the radar gun. Nowadays, most mlb teams have at least one pitcher that can bring that kind of heat. Aroldis Chapman hitting 106 mph is just ridiculous and something I didn't think was possible. Probably also why we are seeing a lot more UCL tears. The body can't sustain that much torque for so long. Nolan Ryan being the exception, of course!
  2. Big guys, most of them. Fridge comes to mind. The irony in all this is that he is prolly more of a DTQB and the paysites had him mischaracterized originally. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1385399/highlights/52734376 Eveld was a defensive tackle QB. He either forced himself out of bounds every play, sacked himself, or made himself throw the ball away..
  3. We have reached the steroid era of high school academics...
  4. +1 Some points missed here. I believe it's called "it went over your head." if a piece of information goes over someone's head, they do not understand it So for us dimwits, maybe you can clarify .... You said: So far Coach O is proving that all the praise that he has been getting Nation Wide is well deserved and his reputation as a GREAT RECRUITER is proving to be true. The man is not only performing his duties as an asst coach for Kentucky, but he's also performing his duties as a Head Coach for South Florida at the same time. COA's reputation as a GREAT RECRUITER is being proven to be true because he's handling 2 jobs at the same time ... even though one of those jobs just entailed a phone call? It doesn't take too much to impress people here at South Flurda..
  5. Delgado signed his NLI this past fall. He can still seek a release though. http://www.southorangejuice.com/2014/4/4/5580188/oliver-antigua-to-usf-rumors-heating-up
  6. You are obviously entitled to your opinion, but I see nothing but upside with this potential option. This would be a home run hire and IMHO....could work out even better than the aborted Masiello hire. Excellent recruiterGreat X's & O's guy NBA experience as a head coach, scout, assistant Family business: hoops is in the family's blood Experience as P5 conference assistant has given him a great apprenticeship for the college game Reputation as a great TEACHER of the game that gets the most of his players. If I am Perry, Egbunu et al I am salivating at this possibility Another great thing about this guy is that his pro background would work really well with the dynamics of having to coach a college team in a heavily saturated pro market. He will essentially run this program like an NBA team which would be appealing to recruits. This could be a Larry Brown type of hire with the ability to turn this thing around quickly by taking advantage of existing talent base, great facilities and University. He just needs to fill in the holes with recruits on twitter who are already saying that USF would jump to the top of their list . If the college basketball gods on Mount Olympus have any mercy and sense of decency.... please let this rumor be true! I would 100% support this hire. Which recruits are saying USF would jump to the top of their list?
  7. Don't know about this one.. Rice inherited a winning team at UNLV and his record has gotten worse each year there.
  8. There is one big obstacle standing in the way of Coach Roc and that is the search firm. If Coach Roc takes over as head coach, the search firm will be viewed as a complete failure. The search firm will do anything within their power to keep this from happening...
  9. Maybe it's just frustration, but I am at that point too. Nobody remaining gets me excited. Give Roc one year. If he succeeds, then great. If he doesn't, we will have a new list of candidates.
  10. He could have just ducked under the door. It wasn't that close...
  11. Manhattan only had 6 wins the season prior to Massiello coming. In his first year coaching, he went 21-13. Pretty impressive!
  12. I was thinking more of this: That would be more concerning... Hopefully they got lucky three times in a row... Kinda like my undergrad weekends.
  13. Not a single team had a winning record during that streak; most of them not even close to .500.
  14. This would be a Skip Holtz coached team...Big difference!!
  15. We had one too... http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/93928/spring-preview-capsules-american?ex_cid=espnapi_public
  16. Bala is BADASS. Love how awesome and loyal dogs can be! Bryant is complete waste of life. This is if he was indeed trying to pull the gun on an officer. Especially for being stopped on a minor issue (acting suspiciously) that may have been resolved by simply having a conversation with the officer. And his prior arrest of carrying a firearm which shows a pattern. Well I believe everything Cops put in their reports. That's why we certainly don't need a rigged judicial system. His 2nd arrest, for similar charges...and he apparently dropped out of school in the 11th grade (benefit of the doubt...maybe transferred?). Yet...the cop's report is questioned? Yeah...sounds about right. I am a LEO and if I was fighting with this kid and he got a gun from his pocket, I'm not sure he would end up in jail....but I'm **** sure going home to my wife and 2 kids Who knows how it would've ended had the dog not been released. It was already too late for Bryant to ditch the weapon. Why grab it if he wasn't going to try to use it? Some people have no respect for life.
  17. I'm pretty sure they are the numbers before the season started.
  18. If we improve the offensive line I think we will see a very good quarterback. No pass protection last year. Hopefully a good qb and the addition of Rodney Adams will push the receivers to do more and not take plays off. We shall see...
  19. bench pressing for tall guys is different. I've seen the compact guys almost bounce it when repping. Trying not to sound like I'm bragging, but I'm 6'4". Over the past 2.5 years, I went from barely repping 225 twice to doing it 33 times. If I can do it so can they.
