Not disagreeing with any of that. However, watch his body torque on almost every throw of distance or in a small window. Coaches better figure out if that is just bad form or if he's compensating for a weak arm, and then determine if that will translate to college success. I wouldn't be shocked if we offered him given our current situation, but I also wouldn't be shocked if they went in a different direction.
I understand your point. At this point, USF is going to have to take some chances. The cream at the top does not want to come here, given our current situation and every school in the nation is after them. That's one thing that made Leavitt successful. He was able to find excellent QBs that didn't match the stereotypical QB physique or skillset. I for one would be a lot more comfortable with a QB recruit that absolutely lit up high school football and didn't match the typical NFL QB traits, than a QB who does and completed less than 50% of his passes in high school.
