  1. Hey Silverbull, we did win last trip up here, in OT. so the whole trip was a blast. Already on our way up. I wasn't clear, my bad. I was speaking of my last trip to Louisville in 2008, not the team's last trip. That was when Grothe was tossing the ball to the other guys, not BJ. Anyway, have a good visit to the Ville Rick.
  2. Coach is working hard to build the program and excitement in it. With and improving team and a vastly improved Sun Dome facility, we should start drawing better; however, it is a long uphill climb from where we were.
  3. Louisville is a great trip for everyone but the team. Last time we had a blast up there (not counting the game, of course).
  4. Exactly. It must be an election year. I hear the same arguments being made in the presidential campaign.
  5. Yeah no kidding. What a physical game. Yeah no kidding. What a physical game. As much as I despise the Irish since last year they have rocketed forward while we have plummeted faster and farther than Felix Baumgartner.
  6. Talked to Coach last night and he seemed pretty stoked. I hope they can get out to a fast start this year. We can't afford the usual early stumbles.
  7. To paraphrase one of our AD's favorite lines: Even if Skip's team loses all its games, we'll still love him. We'll miss him, but we'll still love him.
  8. I think our out of conference schedule looks pretty good this year with the advantage being most of it is at home. Realistically, South Florida is not going to gain a lot of points by going on the road to a bunch of places where we might lose close.
  9. If failure is the forge for fans then we should all be Iron Bulls! I'll keep wearing the colors, showing up for games and events, cheering and donating. I clearly have a problem.
  10. I'm not as concerned whether Doug wants Skip gone as I am whether the players do.
  11. Bill King has been scratching his head about Skip for a while. I think things will finally turn around when Phil Steele quits picking us a surprise team. We're a surprise alright. I don't think anyone foresaw just how bad it would get this year.
  12. Nobody can smell failure like a Tribune employee. So long guys.
  13. No. We are not at rock bottom. Could be worse. I think the problem is that we have upgraded the facilities and now everyone is spoiled. Seems we used to do better when everybody operated out of trailers.
  14. The tailgate and reception in Philly this past weekend were great events. Good to meet Bulls from all points who made the trip to represent. The game atmosphere and then the game, however, well.......
  15. Wasn't so worried about losing the band contest (if so, FAMU would have smoked us) or the attendance I was concentrating on the football game, unfortunately.
  16. Yeah, that sux but I don't think it should be left to legislation. I thnk it's the team's job to make sure the opponents fans don't cheer for long.
  17. I hope a lot of Bulls fans, at least in the NE corridor, make it out to Philly. This should be a good time and a strong showing.
  18. Personally, given the numbers, I thought the USF fans did a pretty good job supporting the troops Saturday.
  19. As you noted above, the timing for the tailgate, and the menu, have been updated on alumni website. Menu is: Toasted Croissants with scrambled eggs, applewood bacon and cheddar cheese Breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, sausage, guacamole, salsa fresca and sour cream Cheeseburgers Dietz & Watson hot dogs Homemade BBQ chips Assorted cookies Soft drinks & water Two beverage tickets (good for beer or wine); Cash bar also available Sounds like a good time for all.
  20. While I'm a diehard fan and give my extra tickets away to USF fans whenever possible, it is not always easy when we are doing poorly. Given the circumstances Saturday, I can't blame folks for selling their tix at a profit to Noles fans. Free country. I won't denounce them as "bad fans" and will welcome 'em back when things are going better for this team.
  21. In spite of our often disfunctional relationship, I can't quit the Bulls. I admit I have a problem but I don't think any rehab can cure me after a 40-year addiction. I'll follow 'em to Philly this weekend and be yelling my lungs out again for those who can't attend.
