  1. Miami loss at UVA as a lead in. May be 50 or so folks at Sun Life Stadium.
  2. The good was the new dome with a large crowd and visiting with former players and coaches. Also good was the experience in the new loge suites. Great time. I recommend it. The bad was our team following recent tradition and getting off to an amazingly lousy starting effort. AC's injury clearly hurts us but our inside game was nonexistent. The ugly was the Mariel boat lift of Orlando's lowlife that trekked to our new dome. Don't know how we'll evever get that stench out of there.
  3. Plan on bringing 8 if I don't have any more cancellations.
  4. I am one of the longsuffering who will make the trip. Who else is going? Do you think, between Miami and USF fans we can all carpool to the stadium in one minivan to save on tolls?
  5. Is the club buffet a one price thing? I was led to believe that it would be some "different" food than regular concession stands but all a la carte pricing. The buffet is one price for which you can buy a set of 10 tickets for a set price (as I recall, $250 per book or essentially $25 per buffet). There are also some a la carte concessions available. I did not pay a lot of attention to those or compare those to other offerings at the Dome but I think there were Cuban sandwiches, hamburgers and the like.
  6. The Club Lounge was nice and the buffet pretty good, but it'l get crowded up there during significant games. The loge "suites" are pretty spartan, but the view was nice. Going to a restroom where the sinks all worked and it didn't have that funky corner urinal stall that no one could into was pleasent. Walking around the inside of the dome without feeling like cattle in a stockyard chute was pretty good. The game, not so much. At least it was an exhibition.
  7. Those bags sort of look like a Sponge Bob Square Pants pinata to me. I'm just saying....
  8. Crowd was actually larger and louder than I had expected for battle for the Big East bottom. I gave out about a dozen tickets, so I keep trying. Ought to have a huge and raucous crowd at Miami, huh?
  9. that would be dumbest move yet When you are a head coach staring down a second losing season and the angry villagers carrying pitchforks and torches, you don't worry so much about preserving redshirts as preserving your job. Here's hoping Mr. Floyd rises to the occasion and wishing him the best of health.
  10. So far, so good for Schiano. However, even if he wins a Super Bowl in his first year I still won't like him.
  11. I was sorry to see another QB end his USF career with an injury. I never thought either Grothe or BJ were the greatests QBs but they were football players and competitors. I enjoyed watching both of them play and thank each of them for their efforts for the Bulls.
  12. LOL ..... True. Two interceptions was just an embarrassment of riches. As soon as we got the second one our suite took up the chant: "We're not last! We're not last!"
  13. I'll be there in the box soaking up the great new amenities of the SunDome and the new world of USF basketball.
  14. Doug, speaking last night, said the football team is very close putting together all the elements to win and that we should not be surprised if they put together a win streak and get into a bowl. I, for one, would be very surprised. Still, I will be there rooting them on.
  15. I will be there and stoked for basketball and the all-new SunDome.
  16. I get my money's worth for being a part of the USF community and supporting the University. If not, then what am I in it for? If I want to wallow in self-loathing fandom I can stay home and watch any of the Tampa Bay area sports teams.
  17. After hearing a lot of noise in the system, I am getting more convinced Holtz will be here unless we lose out. I sincerely wish him the best and hope he can pull us out of the nose dive. The worst thing, however, would be for him to salvage enough wins to continue and then have another less than stellar season next year.
  18. On the bright side, a harried but thankful mother called in to say how our players helped her load her groceries into her car and entertain her restless children. So even if we can't win a game, we can still earn our Boy Scout merit badges.
  19. Yeah, let guess the attendance for Pitt if we lose out from here. Will it outnumber turnout in Miami if we lose to Syracuse and UConn and the U loses to either of the teams from Virginia.
  20. Maybe this meant all coaching efforts would be directed at the Gators so we won't have a real game plan until we play them again.
  21. Glad you had a good trip Rick. Louisville is a fun town. I've had great trips to most Big East games, Pittsburgh, Rutgers via the Big Apple and UConn with Bristol particularly stand out. The road experience is always a big part of the fun (particularly with this team).
  22. Those first four letters aren't L-O-V-E are they?
  23. Fifteen years later and still waiting for the instant gratification.
  24. According to UPS, my basketball tickets headed out of Little Rock early this morning and should be arriving on my doorstep tomorrow. Got tickets and a coach both via Arkansas.
