Don't know if anyone posted info about alumni happy hour Friday evening at Tavern on Broad.

It has been ugly with major gaffes at Rutgers, Ball State and now FSU. And on punt returns, I don't think Mitchell has ever fully recovered from his injury last year. He looks tentative and shaky.
Looking forward to this trip despite lackluster beginning to the season. I felt somewhat better after last night the team at least showed a concerted effort. It will be interesting to see if they can bounce back in conference play starting with a game on the road.
I brought Noles fans with me so I couldn't complain. Two tried to pick a fight with my brother on the way out but we squelched that quick. Per usual, most fans are personable and about 20% make asses of themselves.
I was OK with most of what I saw yesterday but this play ruined my evening. A sixth-year quarterback doing this is inexcusable and shows we do not have any game presence at QB.
Apparently, being a radio talk show host is the toughest job in America. Very few do it well. I have been singularly unimpressed with 98.7 and we already know what crap we get from 620. And on the national front you get bozos like Rome and Finebaum. Makes it awful hare to listen.
Stacking corpses near the line of scrimmage.
Really, the only way to win is if our defensive players learn to play assignment football and have the kind of energy we brought the last time we played FSU at Tally. That may not have been our best ever defense but it was the best balls out effort I have ever seen in a game. The swarming and hitting were intense.
I guess this is a hypothetical question, so.....
I would congratulate them on a game well played and say we'll watch them from home on TV when they play in their BCS game.
We'll see, but I don't buy it. Don't forget UConn, Syracuse, Temple and our beloved Bulls make up half the conference. I don't believe in Pitt. That leaves Rutgers, Cincy and Louisville as the standard bearers. Hardly a murderers row.
There are some that are not pleased with the overall structure and direction but we don't have many T. Boone Pickens or Phil Knight types. Thus your money and efforts don't necessarily translate into influence.
Is it OK if I hate everything and everybody? That will make me feel better, right?
Anyhow, I understand the negativity as I am not happy about how we played but it is not a great surprise. After last season I really had no idea what we would see on the field. At camp I saw talent but did not see great execution. Now I see some skills but no real team continuity in games. I think I know where this responsibility rests. What I can only hope for is progress during the course of the season. If we don't start showing it soon, then changes need to be made.
I've been a fan of USF athletics for 40 years. Unfortunately, that means I have seen a LOT of losing. I have callouses on the callouses of my heart but I keep coming back.
