  1. Was that a club sport or full varsity?
  2. Lots of them, specifically the bottle filling ones like Elkay or a similar design
  3. USF had what looked like CCTV cameras mounted on retractable poles, 50 or so feet in the air - they were at the end of the field and basically at the 50s as well I was watching the USF camera crew - they operated them with joy sticks on a console with a monitor The clarity and zoom capabilities were impressive - I am guessing this was the USF internal tape only, though it may have been the TV feed as well (I did not see any ESPN camera crews)
  4. Kind of my thought also They can probably be screen printed with logos to fit in with the uniforms, so that should not be a concern Starting last season, the NFL mandated use in practice for certain positions and this year, it is recommending all positions - if the NFL puts them into games (next logical step) all other levels will as well
  5. I thought that everyone except the QBs had them on, but i was not specifically looking at who was and was not wearing them
  6. As an STM, I received an email asking me to register for tickets online, which I did and then downloaded to my apple wallet, so I was a little surprised that they were not scanning At the STM tent, they checked my account via computer before letting us in Easily the biggest crowd that they have had at Corbett, but IIRC, all of the other Spring Games at Corbett have been in the early afternoon - this is the first one I can remember there at night
  7. Last night was the first time that I can remember seeing the team play in the Guardian Caps (I have seen plenty of pictures of them practicing with them on) I looked at Guardian’s website and they claim a 30%+ decrease in impact Given the concussion concern, I am wondering how long until a team does play an actual game in them I never played football and I am guessing that there is probably a slight difference in playing feel with them on verses off. Like all equipment changes though, you get used to the differences after awhile
  8. Barnett threw a serious bomb and it was sidearm He still has eligibility, right?
  9. I am inside - best crowd that I have seen for a spring game at Corbett All seats are filled and all three berms are pretty full also
  10. Not to be contrary, but I was at the Spring Game last year, it was pretty vanilla on both sides of the ball i would hope that any coach who is working on amazing schemes, would save running said amazing schemes for closed scrimmages (of which there are usually several in both the spring and summer to choose from)
  11. Hopefully CAG knows what he is doing in allowing the Spring Game to be televised, because I am sure that Saban and all of his staff will be watching live and taking copious notes
  12. Honestly, that is not a real high bar because once CJS lost back to back games in 2020, he was basically out of ideas, specifically because B2B losses is not something that is covered in the Clemson Road Map to College Football Success
  13. The amazing thing is that about this time last year (May ‘22), some on here were arguing about how GB was going to light it up at USF, such that he would be in the NFL this coming season Now we are debating whether or not he can beat out a RS freshman and a transfer - times do change
  14. Both hires are similar in that they have varied experience at the assistant level. I voted for Coach AAR because He already has 4 years of head coach experience Due to the smaller squad, he will have more direct control In basketball, one player can make a huge difference (this is assuming he can attract new talent) With the conference tournaments, a team can gel over a season, got hot in the conference tournament and make a run It is however very possible that both CAG and CAAR will have identical win totals in the 2023-2024 seasons
  15. President of Athletics - keep it clean my friend
  16. Who is this supposed POA and where is the TBP thread calling for his/her immediate termination?
  17. Is this due to the anticipation of wanting to see something big happen or just to get the misery over quickly?
  18. There is also the fact that it looks kind of asinine when you fire both coaches within a year of said extensions
  19. good idea - I would also suggest some stretching and maybe a few hand flexes don’t want anyone blowing out their thumbs hammering out inane comments on their iPhones
  20. You are engaged, but not able to get her to give you a jersey? Man, the NIL age is rough
  21. interesting comment, since wind is not a scoring factor in collegiate high jump Wind and scoring in track and field, explained In outdoor sports, athletes must often brave the elements to... Also, as a former high jumper, I can confirm that any wind (head or tail) is a bit of a detriment
  22. Nice! In case anyone was wondering, that is the USF indoor record - the outdoor record is still Jimmy Baxter at 7’5”
  23. Good for Mike - that is a lot of cash for a guy with a losing record and more INTs than TDs
