  1. Doesn't matter, they both suck. At least Skip had a couple signature wins though.
  2. What does UNLV have to offer besides the market? San Diego St. has the better market and credentials across the board. Their one downfall imo is they are just too far geographically removed.
  3. This would only make sense if the AAC itself expanded to add Boise and perhaps Air Force, Utah St, or BYU. And then the pay out per school would have to be in the 15 mil+ a year range.
  4. My family and I were there as well. Nice defense effort by the ladies.
  5. Bronson is definitely gone. He was one of the seniors who went on the last radio show of the year. He was also honored on the field before the UCF game. Not sure about Price. I thought he and the other Duke transfer had two years of eligibility for us.
  6. I think you have to hand the reigns over to King at this point if you want to keep him in the fold. He's definitely a coach on the rise and a very good recruiter. He's put in the time. I think it's a no lose situation for USF. On the other hand CCS has a lot to lose and may not feel comfortable handing over the OC duties to somebody who doesn't have experience (as an OC) with his job on the line. If King does get passed over I wouldn't be surprised to see him get hired at FSU as their QB coach.
  7. Well under. Honestly, and I'm not kidding. I think a more appropriate o/u would be 15k.
  8. We had 3 FR on our o-line this year. We return all of our starters and hopefully our te. I think the line will be much better next year and a strength in a few years. Time to bulk some of those guys up though.
  9. I'd bet Memphis goes to B'ham. UCF to Gasparilla. Cincy to Military.
  10. The NY6 bid brings in more money for the conference. Which gets divvied and means more money for USF. It also helps AAC perception. If we're going to be in a turd conference we might as well be in the shiniest one. The AAC got taken to the woodshed in the last round of tv negotiations and by all accounts is set for a hefty bump (even with the current tv landscape.) Even if it isn't USF it still benefits us (albeiIt on a much smaller scale) for the AAC to keep the NY6 bid in house. It could be Tulsa, ECU, SMU, or Tulane and still have the same impact. Unfortunately it just happens to be the team to the east.
  11. I didn't know there was a worse situation than playing N. Illinois in a bowl game in Canada until today. Playing 7-6 Louisiana in Orlando seems like more of a punishment than a reward. If tickets were free idk if they could get 5k butts in that stadium.
  12. The only way a C win today helps USF/the AAC is by keeping the NY6 bid with the conference. And the reason that helps is because of the conference's tv contract negotiations. Taking the last two NY6 bids and three out of four is a nice bargaining chip to bring to the table. Obviously the more money the AAC brings in the more that trickles down to us. Of course this all seems moot at this point because Memphis is steamrolling the Gnats right now.
  13. Gasparilla vs a ACC opponent is obviously the most desirable destination at this point. Boca is #2 on my list. Cure bowl in Orlando vs the Ragin Cajuns (one of the best nickname in sports) would be a nightmare imo.
  14. Well at this point Michael Kelly is making Strong HIS guy. I really hope this all works out. If there aren't staff/philosophy changes and we lose the opener in ugly fashion against Wisconsin then the VPoA will see a tremendous amount of the apathy he talks about in the article.
  15. @John Lewis is South Carolina St. the official last opponent or are we still in a holding pattern?
  16. AAC. Good point on Antigua but Shaun has a track record of being the better person. And there's no way he's a worse coach.
  17. It was never going to happen over a holiday weekend. I'm guessing whoever is getting let go will be called into Michael Kelly's office tomorrow.
  18. I'd be fine with a defensive minded hc as long as he hires a competent oc and doesn't handcuff them. That rarely happens though. Defensive coaches are usually presumed conservative for good reason.
  19. I expected big things from Johnson and Polk this year. Did either of them even see the field?
  20. Well Barnett has been the clear stand out of the three. And we have to remember he only had a few weeks to learn the offense. Not that it's anything intricate.
