  1. The sad thing is I think the Big 12 is going to be broken up, with the best schools going to a variety of the other conferences. The whole thing is supported by ESPN, and I look for them to trim expenses as cable cutting and ala carte channel offerings start to take hold. The next TV contracts are going to be smaller than the current ones. There will be many less viewers (the large majority of people I know don't watch and wouldn't buy ESPN if they could save money by not doing it), which means less of the pie to go around for everybody. I see the Big 10, Pac 12, and even the SEC expanding. Big 12 and ACC blown up. All we can do is play the best we can and try to schedule good games. I will say if most of the people around the Bay area knew how much fun this current USF team is to watch, there would be many more seats filled at the stadium. I hope we can sell it out (lower level) next year for every game. Go Bulls!
  2. I remember when Wisconsin was going to the Rose Bowl for the first time in years, they had a story about a guy who said he was going to go the last time they went there, but decided not to make the trip because he could always go the next year or two after that. He waited over 30 years before they made the Rose Bowl again. Play for today becaused tomorrow may just be memories. Go Bulls!
  3. I think somebody else had Uconn in the cure bowl with Arizona. It would be great if we could have a P5 team in the bowl game. Go Bulls!
  4. I think we get the west teams for a home and away series, then after that they are replaced with other teams from the west for home and aways. I like it better when you play each team in the conference, but you can't do that if it is too big. Go Bulls!
  5. The AAC has some good teams, but you don't have to play everybody each year. The Big East had too many co-champions, but it was nice to play everybody and nobody had a break by not playing the toughest team(s). Go Bulls!
  6. I seem to remember last year that one of the biggest things QF was working on is not to make stupid mistakes and turn the ball over. He has really done a good job in that category, and his throwing has improved greatly over the start of the season. He always could run like crazy. I loved Blackwell, Grothe, BJ, and even Barnhardt, but if he continues his progress QF may become the best of all of them. BTW, Blackwell played in one pre season game for the Jets and did well. Like BJ so far he really didn't get a chance even though he played well when he was in there. Go Bulls!
  7. I hope we can keep the entire staff. LSU is going to stupidly let Les Miles go, and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Texas. That would let Strong go to Miami. Go Bulls!
  8. I think we need to add Johnson in there and say 4 headed monster. Go Bulls!
  9. Here is what Tulane was asking and getting for naming rights. I think they got 15 million alone for the stadium name. Go Bulls! from http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/facilities/yulman-naming-opportunities.html Home Field Advantage & Capital Giving Tulane University is fully committed to building a nationally renowned football program and the leadership, from the Board of Trustees to the President and Director of Athletics, has taken aggressive action to ensure success in this endeavor. The salary pool for the football coaching staff has been significantly increased, the football budget has grown in order to enhance our recruiting efforts and provide the very best for our current football student-athletes, and we will soon have a true "Home Field Advantage" with a state-of-the-art on-campus stadium. Tulane University is embarking on an aggressive fundraising campaign in order to usher in a new era of success for its athletics programs and has launched a $70M Home Field Advantage Campaign. The Home Field Advantage Campaign provides donors, season ticket holders, athletics fans, Tulane alumni, parents and students, and the community at large with a facility offering exceptional fan amenities - on the Uptown campus of Tulane University. Additionally, the campaign will provide increased resources for all athletics programs. In addition, the Tulane Athletics Fund (TAF) has an aggressive campaign goal of $5M over three fiscal years. Any unrestricted gift to the Home Field Advantage Campaign that is not designated specifically to Yulman Stadium will be a part of the Tulane Athletics Fund. 10. Not aluminum? Perhaps we could have Lego make it and pay for it out of lego blocks. A full stadium made of plastic. Four years seems like a long time, but I am ready to pay a one time fee for my two seat licenses to help pay for the thing (10,000 @ $2,000 each is 20 million) - maybe those guys who buy all the season tickets but never show up will also pay for seat license donations? Go Bulls!
  11. Bull94, that could be the most profound thing ever written on the board. Go Bulls!
  12. Here is a site where you can measure lor size. http://www.findlotsize.com/?place=fiowler+ave+tampa&r=e Space is a bit tight on campus. Go Bulls!
  13. It means a way to get into the conference championship game. I don't care about the margin of victory, just beat those guys so we can advance our program. I like to look at different team message boards when we play them, and although their fans are pretty arrogant in years past, this year they have been humbled. If not for the conference ties, I would have rather had us win against FSU. Go Bulls!
  14. That's great, and I think if he can stay for a 4th year somewhere he will be able to get an NFL pension, but I could be wrong on that. Go Bulls!
  15. I wouldn't touch this game. I think a safer bet would be Uconn and the points. That defense doesn't give up much. Go Bulls!
  16. You could also have motorhome tailgate parking at the Fowler fields. Move the Pres mansion over by the botanical gardens. Go Bulls!
  17. I think the site of the current visitor center/president's mansion would be a great place. Make the visitor center in or on the stadium grounds, and it would be closer to more parking. The area looks to be large enough while still leaving room for the alumni center, which would be close to the stadium. It would fit north and south. Great idea for location, Orlando Bull. Go Bulls!
  18. Anything becomes on campus if you expand the campus to include that property. RJS could in theory become an on campus stadium if for some reason it became part of the University of South Florida campus. Go Bulls!
  19. Hey, don't ruin a good story. Go Bulls!
  20. Winning is contagious. Those Uconn kids look like they are really wanting to play for their coach. I think it is more likely that Temple lets up expecting to win and then goes down to the Huskies. We need to not let up against UCF.
  21. I don't know how far we are from AAU membership, a stated goal that Judy has been steadily working towards. From what you have written above, and considering the geographical background of our state's residents, the better choice for USF is B1G (although I would rather be ACC or SEC). The truth is, if Memphis, Houston, Temple, UCF, and maybe one or more improve enough, maybe we can become a P6 and draw West Virginia back into the group for a big TV deal. That would actually be a pretty nice conference. Go Bulls!
  22. I think with CJL we used to average something like 9 per game. Go Bulls!
  23. Of course we want Memphis to win, but don't forget even if they don't we still have UCONN who could help us out. Maybe it will go down to one of our old brothers helping us. The way we are playing now it would be a shame not to get to that championship game. Go Bulls!
