  1. I don't know about yoda, but this guy has been saying a lot. https://twitter.com/MHver3 Go Bulls!
  2. And those schools all have stadiums on campus. First build the stadium. Go Bulls!
  3. The Gators just opened their $15 million IPF, so you don't need to go higher than that and probably can go less. If we are going to build an on campus stadium, that should be the priority, not a practice facility. Go Bulls!
  4. No, the problem is that I did read what you wrote. You are just wrong. More availability doesn't mean more viewers and certainly doesn't mean more money. Why do you think ESPN has declining revenue? People don't want to pay for something they don't want. Revenue will decline along with interest in the sport. Go Bulls.
  5. That is the whole point. The number of eyeballs that will actually watch is decreasing, not increasing. Interest in college football is decreasing. I know a young guy who goes to UT in Austin. He is a junior now and the last time I saw him I asked him what it was like going to a Texas game. He told me he had never been to one. As strange as that seems, I don't think it is all that unusual. Go Bulls!
  6. I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and work with 11people in a small business. I am the only one who even watches college football. None of my nephews or nieces do, none of the people I work with do, and neither of my 2 grown sons watch football (but they know everything there is to know about skateboarding and surfing). Of all the people I regularly come in contact with, only myself, my sister's finace, who is a huge Notre Dame fan (it was great sitting next to him when we handed them a loss in South Bend), and an old friend who is a rabid Penn State fan actually follow college football. I have to retreat a bit: my sister does watch games with her fiance, but probably would not if he didn't. I don't know if that is the norm, but I suspect it isn't far removed. If cord cutting becomes the norm and ESPN is not included as part of some standard basic channel package, their revenue will plummet. Go Bulls!
  7. with that kind of love for the game it sounds like he should go into coaching after his playing career is over. Go Bulls!
  8. Don't ever give up on your dreams. I hope he makes it. One thing for sure is if he didn't try he wouldn't stand a chance. Go Bulls!
  9. If it was 8 team with the p5 champs (all with a championship game win) and the highest rated G5 champ (again, with a championship game win), with 2 at large, the playoffs really start with the championship games. That would in effect be not an 8 team playoff, but 14 teams. Go Bulls!
  10. No state income tax in Texas. I hope they actually give him a chance. Go BJ, and Go Bulls!
  11. Based on overall revenue/expenditures from the above link, it would be nice to be Oregon. Auburn had better watch out, and ECU is going the wrong way. Go Bulls!
  12. I read an interesting article that said Notre Dame could consider joining the ACC so it wouldn't be left out of the playoffs, and then Texas would jump to the ACC with Notre Dame. That would shake things up a bit. It makes huge sense for the BiG to have a team in Florida, and the Gators are never going to move. The AAC is actually turning out better than I had originally thought, but I sure would like to see us in one of the major conferences. Go Bulls!
  13. Check out our ratings for the UCF game on Thanksgiving. Now that was a pretty bad rating. Go Bulls!
  14. I was looking at a WKU board and saw comments about how they were stuck with playing USF, and that they deserved better. We shouldn't be afraid of anybody. I wish we could play Clemson, or anybody in the top 10. How good are we now? Who knows, you have to play the game to find out. We will find some answers with our bowl game. Go Bulls!
  15. Dang.. they won another championship! Go Bulls!
  16. They also still have Iowa ahead of Michigan State, the team that beat Iowa yesterday. Strange rankings. Go Bulls!
  17. Why? Do you continue to bring up things in your past that you perhaps should have done differently? We need to move forward. Carry on. Bull Up! Go Bulls!
  18. I don't know about destroying them, but I think we would have beaten either of those teams. Go Bulls!
  19. It was so fast that I wonder about the SC interview, if it was just used to say he chose us instead of SC. Now we need to keep the staff together. Go Bulls!
  20. Actually, with Texas spanking Baylor, this WKU game, ando who knows about the ACC and SEC games, the bowls may be all scrambled up. Go Bulls, who I wish were playing Houston today.
  21. We may not be playing Western Kentucky if the don't win their championship game.
  22. Just because you will listen to somebody's pitch doesn't mean that you want to move on it. I wish Taggart would stay here a while and win championships. If that doesn't happen, then I will hope the next coach will do it. Go Bulls!
  23. Why would USF not be eligible? From that article on the RJS expansion .."The county’s contribution would come from 4 cents of the 5-cent county tourist tax, which must be spent on sports facilities or promoting tourism." USF probably brings in more overnight visitors in a year than the Bucs do. We have not only football, but all the other sports, academic and industry visitors, etc. Who owns the MOSI land? Last I knew it was the county, the same group that is collecting the tourist tax. It would make sense to get some of that money for a stadium and promoting tourism in northern Hillsborough County. It actually seems like a natural use for the money. Go Bulls!
  24. So they are going to use 80% of the tourist tax revenue on the stadium? It sounds like the Glazers know we are considering an OCS and want to make a grab before USF can get any of that money. Go Bulls!
