  1. I wouldn't mind playing Western Michigan in a bowl if we can't get one of the big boys. Go Bulls!
  2. Here is what the College Football News is projecting for the two teams in our conference champ game. Navy vs North Texas in the Armed Forces Bowl Temple vs WKU in the Boca Raton Bowl For us, Boston College in St Pete Bowl, which at least is a better match up. Nothing new,but the AAC needs better bowl games. Go Bulls!
  3. Playoffs are to decide the national champion. You don't win the conference you shouldn't get an invite over the conference champion. Simple enough. I don't think Ohio State will get an invite over Penn State if PSU wins the conference. Go Bulls!
  4. Do you think coach Leavitt will consider the Houston job? Personally I think he would wait for a P5 team before taking a head coaching position. Go Bulls!
  5. I think it is sad that they fired him. He looks to have things set up well for next year there, and whoever steps into that job will be a lucky coach. Go Bulls!
  6. Come on guys, the people were still too devastated from the election to attend a football game, and besides, the place is named after a republican. Show a little heart. Actually, many of the games I've noticed have relatively poor actual attendance these days. It seems to be a trend that is a bit disturbing to me, a fan of the game. Go Bulls!
  7. Do you know what affects the voters' perception? These letters ACC, B1G, B12, SEC, PAC12 after that, they really don't care. Go Bulls!
  8. Colorado would be great, but they are going to a larger bowl that we are. Go Bulls!
  9. That is why I continually stress that opportunities lost are never regained. Our players and coaches will have the rest of their lives to relive that Temple game. It would have been a much better memory if we made adjustments and if the players executed better. Make every game count with maximum effort. I don't think we have ever benefitted when we needed another team win for us. It has happened a few times and I think we are always on the wrong end. Go Bulls!
  10. This game shows how the P5 is just a scam to keep other teams from sharing the money. We had a top 5 team fighting for entry into the college playoffs and they got hammered by one of the "inferior" teams who didn't believe it when they were told they weren't good enough. Well done, Houston. Go Bulls!
  11. We shouldn't go for 2. 7 can tie and our kicker is hurt. We are better not getting into OT Go Bulls!
  12. start a new web and cable based network called Sundoll TV. Feature the cheerleaders, the Sundolls, college coeds from around the country, and charge $2.50 a month for access. Let the ladies pay for everything. Go Bulls!
  13. CWT had Woodie read these https://www.xandolabs.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2090:defending-the-option-with-the-4-2-5&catid=95&Itemid=164 https://www.google.com/amp/www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2014/05/35605/film-study-defending-navy-flexbone%3famp?client=safari And then of course our secret weapon, the fumble when the navy ball carriers are looking at the Sun Dolls instead of paying attention to the pitch. Go Bulls!
  14. Navy will destroyer us. Actually, I think the defense will be adjusted and we stop them. Go Bulls!
  15. You guys will worry about anything. What if Flowers, Adams, Mack, and Johnson get in a car crash today and their careers are over? Who is going to replace them? What are we going to do? HEEEELLLLLLP! Go Bulls!
  16. The reason it didn't fill up is because people didn't care enough to go. That simple. I've been a season ticket holder from day one and I love going to the games. It hurts me to see the lack of community support for this team, and I'm sure it hurts the players and coaches. When they turn on the TV and see a packed house, or an almost packed house for so many games, it has to make them wonder why not for us? This is the best team we've had in years, maybe ever, and the attendance just doesn't get better. There was a lot of damage done by Holtz and the start of the Coach T era, but anybody can see we are playing pretty well now. I don't know why so many ex fans have given up on the team or moved on, or at least don't care enough any more to buy tickets and show up, but i hope that Coach T and the young men can not let it bother them. I am proud of my Bulls and I cheer them on whenever I can. I'll be there with my wife for Navy in a couple weeks. I hope we can make it to the championship game, but I almost wish it would be in Houston (closer for me with probably a better game atmosphere) except that would mean we would have to lose another game, which I would not want. I wish more people in the Bay area could find a love for college ball. It truly is better than the pro game. Go Bulls!
  17. I think we need to be aggressive, add another linebacker, and play tighter. We need to force errors instead of letting teams beat themselves. Not many college qbs can beat you when you are in their face with a pass rush, and another backer up at the line will help on running plays. Go Bulls!
  18. Consider what those schools are facing. Going from 20-30 million a year for their athletics programs, down to possibly 2 or 4 million. Some may even end up in CUSA. They would be begging admission from schools they thought weren't good enough for them a couple years earlier. It is going to be hard, but they probably all assume that they would be welcomed with open arms by some other P5 conference. I think that they will find out otherwise. Go Bulls!
  19. Uconn and even more so Navy should be well attended. How many I don't know. Go Bulls!
  20. I used to give my tickets away to various people when I was not going to be able to attend, but after about 8 times over the years I quit doing that. Every time I asked how going to the game was, without exception the ticket recipients didn't end up going for some reason or another. You can't force people to go to a game, but I can't understand why a college football fan wouldn't want to go to see this team play. RayJay with its end zone plazas and clubs make for a lousy game atmosphere when people are not in their seats, but it is what we have, and this USF team really is worth going to see. Go Bulls!
  21. Was ECU still playing? If they recovered a fumble would they try to run it back for a score, or just down the ball because the were going to lose anyway? Why give less than a full effort? It looks like we needed some more practice. Go Bulls!
  22. It looks like you are right. Here's an interesting page for a number of reasons. http://www.tampapix.com/tampastadium.htm "...The architectural firm of William Watson and Company designed Tampa Stadium. The company chose to base their design of the stadium on the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tennessee." Here is another very interesting tidbit. "In 1961 Mayor Julian Lane commissioned a study on the feasibility of a football stadium in Tampa. The University of South Florida was considered as a site, but the relatively new school did not want the stadium. There was not enough support for the plan; USF was in its infancy then and Dr. John Allen (president of USF at the time) was not an athletics type guy. He knew that if the stadium was built there, he wouldn’t have a choice but to support athletics at the school. In addition to Dr. Allen’s hesitancy, there was little public support for a tax-funded stadium. So the building of a Tampa football venue was shelved." We could have had an OCS decades ago. Go Bulls!
  23. I remember reading way back that it was a smaller version built by the same company. Go Bulls!
