    The media gives the power, once the media deals normalize there will be more power distributed due to business interests. It's not that you're wrong for believing what you do, but you miss a lot of things being stuck in first gear like you are.

    The MWC is significantly weaker than the AAC. I'm not sure that's even a conversation point outside of some mountain west fan boards. The AAC deal is going to dwarf MWC and further separate.

    I think the standard has been set unrealistically high with a recent undefeated season. It's likely the NY6 participant and conference champ will have at least one loss. That said, its good for the conference if FAU loses big. We need as many teams in the poll as possible. If FAU wins we have zero top 25 teams.

    I personally think the conference is well on its way to P6, the only thing missing is revenue and a shot at playoff. Sure the conference is being held up by 5-6 teams, but outside of the SEC and BIG 10 that's true everywhere. Competitively this season I would put the American on par with PAC12 and BIG12. Hopefully with increased revenue the top tier of American teams can further push the narrative and the middling teams slowly improve the foundation.

    I'm sure this is bad, but using education funds to pay for the college of arts and humanities building doesn't seem egregious to me. Meh.

    No, winning involves accolades...recognition, tangible things that you can market to the fan base. Winning hasn't happened yet but we're well on the way if we can secure a strong finish.

    I don't know one way or the other, I don't really care whether their actual attendance was 43K or 41k or whatever, the point is that wins puts butts in the seats and that is a lot of butts in the seats for a FCS team.

    This. The opponent won't matter once the wins are consistent; if the other guys can do this against FCS teams its clearly about wins.

    This whole branding situation is going on too long and risks becoming a circus. I don't understand why there can't be any consistency. It seems like the harder they try, the uglier the logos get.

    I think USF could be a top 25 team if BB is consistent. I also think that Memphis and Houston have more good will in the AP/coaches minds right now and will probably get the focus until one of them lose.

    A good team would have probably scored on each of those 3 UCONN turnovers. They are outclassed but UCF's D doesn't impress that much to me.
