  1. The fact that three already did it without virtually guaranteed playoff access just shows how much better the situation will be for us. We didn’t get the call up, time to move on from that thinking and commit to being ready next time. Winning is all that matters and *if* it’s Chadwell then he specializes in offense from the skill positions, which is an area we do well in naturally, his offense will do well in the aac. Primary focus on recruiting should be hs/transfer linemen indefinitely then get those speedy athletic p5 transfers at skill positions. Winning turnaround formula. Slowly start hoarding higher percentage of quality g5/fringe p5 talent will help keep us in rankings. Rankings bring casual fans/interest.
  2. This is how I feel. I like it. Deon was never on the table, this is a good call. The aac will be getting a seat at the playoff table every year, there’s potential to grow into a top program from this league. No other non p5 conference can honestly say that. Embrace the changes, new stadium new staff new league with better access. Aside from big east buyout money the program is in a far better situation heading into 25/26 than we were in 2012/13 when the American started.
  3. Because they’re busy signing a 5 year extension with RJS. Speaking of circus tent in Orlando, heard that their stadium was damaged by Hurricane Nicole.
  4. Sorry if already mentioned but I like the idea of Dino Babers as a program builder.
  5. I get off work at 3pm so thank you to the schedule gods for making it so I can catch kickoff at home. Looking forward to a win.
  6. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them use him as an Otis Anderson-type scat back. They love those there and Timmy has the chops for it.
  7. I didn’t say anyone would pay more for those markets than ou/t individually. They just add more viewers overall in new areas than what’s leaving, which helps everyone involved, and ultimately involves more money. Inflation also matters. And demand, which there happens to be right now with FOX, ESPN, and now NBC interested in big 12 content.
  8. Wtf. You are ignoring basic math to rather insult me? You are arguing against common sense.
  9. I understand, OU/T are better. No one is saying they aren’t. It’s bigger than that though. They are trying to take the Longhorn network and turn it into Big12 network. The four markets added surpass viewers of those two departing teams, even if those teams have better individual followings.
  10. Inflation being what it is, yes. The PAC is losing more than usc and ucla, their value is going to go down further. Also think that the four markets the big 12 added equalized certain data points they needed to maintain particular value.
  11. PAC money will be going down, significantly. B12 money will be going up, no one knows how much. The new PAC/MWC love child conference will be a very good conference, better than the AAC.
  12. It looks like it’s going to be nice for an ipf, but it looks small. Is it going to be just a 70 yard field? Photo taken from second deck or not, the pitch is what, 25 feet tall? 27? Sorry not trying to be negative. Pictures don’t do it justice.
  13. They’re saying what is supposed to be said at this point. The PAC as we know it is dead.
  14. The PAC as we know it is done regardless of ND. At this point the pressure is on Oregon and Washington to see if they want to apply to the big12 when the other four do ( supposed to be Tuesday-ish). Do those two want to run with Cal, Stanford, Oregon state and wazzu and MWC callups? They were already told ‘no’ by the big ten, they can keep putting eggs in that basket but they’ll be in the MWC 2.0 until that decision comes-which takes them into their new tv deal. Once the ACC opens up the big 10 won’t care about the west anymore. I won’t venture a guess as to what will ultimately unfold but that is what’s happening the next 24-36 hours. As far as waiting out the ACC, I don’t like it. I know it kinda is what it is but I wouldn’t denigrate Aresco for trying anything at this point because the ACC leftovers after the sec, big 10, and big 12 are done you’ll be looking at just Syracuse, BC, Wake, maybe Pitt left. Even if you want them, that conference will be dissolved due to majority loss so they would have to join the American, though Syracuse may drop football and go big east.
  15. I know this has come up before in discussion and none of it matters anyway as I-4 will be one megalopolis one day but Lakeland is practically an Orlando suburb now. They’ve always identified more with Orlando, but certainly splitting hairs. Orlando is projected to be the bigger city in twenty years or thereabouts so that probably won’t change. I believe I saw the CJS offered on Twitter.
  16. He’s going to them unfortunately. They don’t even need RB’s.
  17. We’re getting only about 6m total. Probably half that nowish and the other half spread out.
  18. It is 18m/school though, which is 54m for the three.
  19. Personally I believe even in a down year there’s at least a 50% chance of winning the game against ucf, especially if it’s at home. I think 5 wins is the floor, worried about ECU and their 35 year old quarterback.
