  1. He got pushed out by Kobe Hudson. Crazy. I believe OKeefe is their WR1.
  2. 6 years ago you’re focused on pronouns. That’s a long time ago. Again, long memories aren’t good ones necessarily. I was 100% right too at the time unfortunately. There aren’t enough fans for you dictate allegiance and you’re far from the authority to try to do so. Living so far in the past is a very Bulls thing to do.
  3. We all have long memories, that doesn’t make yours good. I’m not downplaying the significantly overdue project. I worry it’s too little too late but am glad to see action just like everyone else. It’s not a game changer that’s going to make us better than anyone. All it does is show us the direction we need to go to close ground on schools like FAU.
  4. Dude. Sorry I didn’t want to stay in Florida for grown up life. I’ve never given undue credit to ecu since I’ve been here. I can’t ever even remember bringing them up.
  5. It’s an ipf. It’s literally steel beams with a shell and some turf. Not sure what you’re expecting but I wouldn’t have high expectations. If a/c and a couple offices qualify as kicking ass then you’re all set.
  6. They have multiple bowl games and had a minor league football team use their field before Covid happened. The revenue will be there, I just worry the expenses will eclipse the revenue like it does at a lot of places, like CSU, which ironically is the situation many here try to bring here.
  7. I’m afraid there’s going to be bad decisions made wrt OCS. We’ll be paying like 15mil/year in debt service while playing UTSA and Rice. It feels like too little too late to me but I want one anyway.
  8. It looks good but let’s be real, there’s not much to it, shouldn’t take long.
  9. Like they do with every other structure, smooth out the details and make material changes. If it’s fully funded including cost increases/overruns then it doesn’t matter though.
  10. I still don’t understand why Publix would choose to sponsor here. There’s no ties and the visibility isn’t there. Also don’t want ACC/big10 expansion in Florida because it will only elevate ucf. Those conferences aren’t going to replenish from the aac schools before the Big12 schools. That’s silly to think at this point.
  11. They have a much larger fanbase at this point. It’s easy to point out the crazies when they post stupid stuff to recruits but they also have more supportive fans as well. You have to take the bad with the good.
  12. The big 12 may still be an option. And the big10 will want to get into Florida eventually. They won’t go after us, but the downstream effects could eventually open us up for a promotion. Sec or ACC to big 10-> acc to sec-> big 12 to acc-> aac to big 12.
  13. I agree with all that, it’s what I was saying. Before the aac was actually pretty good and competed favorably with the pac and ACC in quality. We won’t have that moving forward. Previously, attendance problems weren’t good because of the lack of consistent winning and apathy from not taking advantage of the huge gift of the Big East ( leadership blew that). As an aside I never understand why it had to be either/or with academics and Athletics. To be Frank the academic gains were not nearly large enough to make up for the loss on the other front. We went from middling in academics to the upper end of middling in academics. We are still in the same realm academically as the jerks out East, they’re actually a harder school to get in to now. To make things worse they built a better foundation and are well placed to improved their academics to pass us there too, eventually.
  14. If that’s true then that means this push is dead in the water. Replacing Ucf with fau and Cincy with uab isn’t going to suddenly make things different in a good way. I prefer to believe what you said isnt true. I hope that we just feel one game short of building the multi season success required for carryover success. It’s about winning consistently to me.
  15. You know what the unfunny thing about this now is? Water fountains are frowned upon. You won’t find active ones in any large public facility anymore.
  16. The media deal will be tied to the conference transfers in ‘23. Again just my opinion.
  17. I think the ‘25 contract has already been negotiated with 12 actual members. Who knows with the next one? I would at this point hope it’s more like 10 years now so an ocs can be built opened and played in. That’s the last chance.
  18. There are going to be new deals in place by then that will add on more years of media coverage/stability in exchange for a smooth (quicker) transition to the new alignment, I believe.
  19. Any additional big 12 expansion won’t happen for another 7-10 years when it’s time to renegotiate the new media deal. That is a lifetime in college Athletics and should dissuade a school from doing what’s best for them in the short term.
  20. Against who though? It’s not like ucf campaigned against us. We are the asses here.
  21. If you have to cite the exceptions then you’re fighting a losing battle. Also, Miami is kind of in trouble, they’ve been in a long fade. Just Google them, it’s not a good time to be a Hurricane.
  22. People forget sometimes how young the program actually is, it’s understandable that there’s been a rented home all these years. That said it’s time to move out into a dedicated facility. There is so much that goes into an OCS that has nothing to do with attendance. It hits on everything missing from South Florida football-recruiting, culture, excitement for the future. It’s a no brainier. Funding? Not so much a no brainier. The other guys lucked out getting one built for 55 million. Sure it wasn’t great but that’s what renovations are for. Just make it happen, worry about luxuries later.
  23. ESPN mentions it several times in their articles. Not that I agree but there’s credible people reporting it.
