No. "Jihad" means struggle, not violence. So Mr. Ward will be engaged in a purely peaceful and metaphorical "struggle" against the offensive line, because football is a game of peace.

Jihad is meant to be carried out against an oppressive ruler. Seeing the overlords of college football, I'd say they're pretty oppressive and we definitely need some jihad on them.
